That is a 2 pt to 1 nurse ratio. Nurses are advocates for the patients too. We can always get another job but not another patient. Your family, friends, or you will suffer an adverse event if you are being cared for in an environment staffed like that. Those patients are supposed to be staffed 2 patients to 1 nurse for a reason. You cannot monitor and adjust drips of critical meds, ensure patients are properly vented, and perform all the other tasks required to keep people from dying. They don’t want patients to die because there isn’t enough of them to keep people alive.
