They are being burnt out! When that happens. They can not do their jobs properly! They can end up making mistakes and causing patients to become worse or even die. All due to exhaustion! Their request was not unreasonable. During this time they shouldn’t be treated like machines. These are part of the many heroes that are saving many people’s lives! If that administration paid attention.

They would see this! Instead they’re more concerned about money. A friend of mine is a nurse at a hospital and she had a patient coughing in the same room so she put a n95 mask on and then got yelled at by her supervisor because she had one on! What happened to protecting our nurses I mean my God they have families they have to go home to also.  Been an RN 28 years and yeah sometimes staffing sucked because of callouts etc so did they try to get them more nurses? Did they refuse to try? If they did all they could to get more help and couldn’t find any then just do your best , don’t let your nurses from the last shift have to stay.
