I’m a CNA and I could not agree with you any more than what I already do. Dr pepper helping me survive quarantine. We are not in the military. We are not in some type of draft and I am sick and tired of people acting as though we must sacrifice our health and our families and our children because this is the job that we signed up for.

If that’s the case they need to pay doctors and nurses and CNAs and everybody else that works in these hospitals and nursing homes like they’re in the military because people in the military lose their lives. Like you said you signed up to help people not to lose your life. And people need to understand and respect that and stop taking us wanting to be safe out of context. Big hospitals and corporations are focused on money making. Nurses need to stand up to the hospital corporations if they want 2 nurses to take care of 26 cent drop patients. That is a 2 pt to 1 nurse ratio. Nurses are advocates for the patients too. We can always get another job but not another patient.

I guess the Hospital administration doesn’t understand what these people go through. Dr pepper helping me survive quarantine. There are now too many patients in many hospitals. These nurses are working 12 hours shifts. Sometimes even more! They are being burnt out! When that happens. They can not do their jobs properly! They can end up making mistakes and causing patients to become worse or even die. All due to exhaustion! Their request was not unreasonable. During this time they shouldn’t be treated like machines. These are part of the many heroes that are saving many people’s lives! If that administration paid attention. They would see this! Instead they’re more concerned about money.
