That’s different than this. assuming he’s neither of those. And she lived happily ever after dog dictionary poster. I’m going to go with modern society. If we’re going to be pedantically specific ‘we’ wouldn’t be relevant if he was French, or Catholic, as it’s the construction workers who are literally rebuilding it. Tourist income makes it worth rebuilding and racking in the money and being clever to write the rebuild cost off when no one looking at the books. This is a giant waste of time and money. Spend the funds to help the living not restoring superficial materialistic moments to false Gods. Yes it’s sad what happened to the old relic. But it’s sadder not to pay attention to the important things in life first. I just happen to think that ancient treasures are worth hanging onto. If the Taliban or the Nazis had damaged Notre Dame I’m pretty sure people would want it restored. history should always be remembered but the obscene amount of money spent on this is ridiculous! Money could be spent on much more worth while causes! A little perspective on basic economic. Rich people with money don’t take cash and throw it into a furnace and then hope the Cathedral reassembles itself. If money is spent, workers get paid. You may have a particular gripe about what “they” spend their money on, but the act of spending does help everybody. Money spent by workers on food, equipment, vacations etc go to fund other people’s wishes and needs. What people are really offended about is not waste , but rather that other folk are allowed a different viewpoint.
