I agree with you it isn’t worth the risk for six weeks. I have two titles dad and papa and i rock them both. My boy is in year 6 he also has autism and he has a 1-1 at school but I’m not sending him back as he wouldn’t cope with the change of layout of class room plus he couldn’t have his 1-1 xx.

Because this bares no resemblance to the happy school life they left behind… Try telling a 4/5 year old they can’t play with toys, they can’t read books, they can’t play with friends, they can’t touch their caregivers. Storing emotional issues for later. Just my opinion as you have yours. it’s so hard isn’t it. I have two titles dad and papa and i rock them both. I have one in reception and 1 in year 2. Neither would understand these rules fully. my boy has no concept of social distancing plus he’s starting a specialist school in September which he’s anxious about anyway so I just want him to focus on that. and keeping them at home with no interaction with their friends is better. Kids are far more robust than you think and constantly mollycoddling them is what gives them mental health issues. I don’t think protecting them from a global pandemic and the effects that is having in their world is classed as “Molly coddling” each to their own as I said. My kids do have interaction with their friends.
